PURPOSE OF USE
The armoured repair and recovery tractor on the chassis of MLI-84 M is designed to equip the infantry battalion within the mechanized brigade; it is used for the removal, evacuation, execution of maintenance interventions and transport of damaged or immobilized infantry fighting vehicles.
The armoured repair and recovery tractor on the chassis of MLI-84 M can be operated in good conditions on various categories of roads or on mingled land. The vehicle can cross rivers with preliminary combat engineering arrangement.
The repair and recovery tractor is an armoured and tracked vehicle, resulted further to the mounting of specific equipment (capstan, crane, generator set, autogenous set, hydraulic jacks and other specific devices) on the properly changed structure of MLI-84M.
Telescopic crane
The telescopic crane is mounted instead of the basic product’s turret and should ensure the removal of the energy assembly (engine-transmission), turret and other heavy components of the motor vehicles that have to be repaired.
Capstan
The hydrostatic capstan must ensure the traction force required to remove the damaged vehicle. It will be mounted within the armoured housing and will be operated by a motor-hydrostatic pump assembly driven by the internal combustion engine of the vehicle.
